Ellie

Eleanor "Ellie" Testington, age 90, of Evanston, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 15, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, to James and Margaret Harrison, Ellie grew up with a deep love for learning and community. She graduated from Northwestern University and dedicated over thirty years to teaching elementary school, touching the lives of countless students.

Ellie is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Testington.

A woman of great warmth and wisdom, Ellie will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her legendary apple pie, and her unwavering belief that every person has a story worth hearing.

Services will be held at Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
